FastCore
Fastcore technology is used by ACM to make net shape mandrels for customers. Our material is listed on the Boeing Material Specification BMS14-13. These mandrels are delivered pre-formed and sealed with PTFE tape. They arrive at your facility as a ready to use shop supply. Fastcore technology is suitable for rapid prototyping and production quantities. Fastcore is suitable for autoclave processing at temperatures up to 400F.
Fastcore’s appearance and physical properties are similar to the Aquacore system, but has been specially formulated for rapid prototyping and serial production. It contains a proprietary reaction set binder which is utilized in ACM’s on-site manufacturing system. This allows ACM to produce net shape mandrels with or without a mold. Fastcore mandrels are porous and are pre-sealed before composite processing to prevent resin infiltration.
